1. The application of zinc stearate in nitrocellulose paint
 
The film-forming substances of nitrocellulose paint are mainly nitrocellulose (nitrocellulose) and alkyd resin. It is a self-drying paint, which is characterized by fast drying speed. Due to the high molecular weight of nitrocellulose and low solid content of nitrocellulose, it is The wettability of the material is poor. Therefore, the appropriate amount of zinc stearate in the nitro paint is 0%-2%. If the amount is too large, it will affect the adhesion and transparency of the primer.
 
2. Application of zinc stearate in PU paint
 
The film-forming substances of PU paint are mainly polyisocyanate (curing agent) and alkyd resin. The film is formed by the cross-linking reaction of -NCP of the curing agent and -OH of the alkyd resin. It is a cross-linked curing coating with a high solid content of PU paint. Therefore, the proper amount of zinc stearate in the PU primer is 2%-5%. If the amount is too large, it will affect the adhesion and transparency of the primer. In severe cases, it will cause whitening.
 
3. Application of zinc stearate in PE paint
 
The film-forming substances of PE paint are mainly unsaturated polyester (PE resin) and monomer cross-linking agent (styrene), which are cross-linked curing coatings. PE paint has high solid content and good hardness. Zinc stearate is on the PE bottom. The appropriate addition amount in the paint is 2%-5%. If the addition amount is too large, it will affect the adhesion and transparency of the primer and will cause whitening in severe cases.
 
4. Application of zinc stearate in UV paint
 
The film-forming substances of UV paint are mainly UV resin and monomer crosslinking agents, which are cured by the UV lamps to form a film. UV paint has high solid content and good hardness. Zinc stearate is easy to foam stably during UV primer construction. UV paint has a greater impact on adhesion, so zinc stearate is rarely used in UV paint.
 
 
5. Zinc stearate cannot be used for AC paint
 

The film-forming substances of AC acid-curing paint are mainly alkyd resin and urea-formaldehyde resin. They are cross-linked to form a film through the catalysis of acid curing agent (mainly p-toluenesulfonic acid); The acid zinc is decomposed, and part of the acid curing agent is consumed by the reaction, and the AC paint with zinc stearate added slowly or does not dry.
